The Healing Code

Here we go on a new adventure:
I’m going to take you on a little more unusual journey than usual today, because it’s really out there for me, anyway.  While in Israel, my friend Jan introduced our group to a book called “The Healing Code”.  She laughed and told us it’s a little unusual, but that the new age has stolen many of the gifts God has given us to heal ourselves and they just took God out of the program, which is why it’s only a temporary measure when used without God.
BELIEVING LIES:
We all sat in a room and imagined something that was very painful and then asked God to show us a picture of that same feeling at the youngest age he wanted to show us.  For instance I thought of a time when someone hurt my feelings and then God showed me a time earlier in my life where that same thing had happened.  The idea is to get to the place (eventually) where we started believing a lie.  For some that lie would manifest in feelings of not being good enough, or not pretty enough, or not smart enough…you get the idea.  When that lie seals into our heart, no matter what we tell our heads, our heart is what wins over.  Not until we can get to the lies/memories and heal them with God’s word.
BREATHE!
Another part of the book focuses on breathing.  Pointing out that many times difficult things happen and we actually quit breathing!  Our bodies get ready to fight or flight, sending extra adrenaline and if we don’t do anything, just “handle” the situation and don’t find a way to get rid of this stress, we end up going into adrenal burn out.  Ok, a little too simple, but how many people do you know that have adrenal burn out?  Start to breathe right now.   Try it.  Deep long breaths, every morning.  Those of you that do yoga are already ahead of me.    It’s so exciting to think that God has even more for us to get ourselves healed.
Now we come to the question, how bad do I want to expose those lies and get the healing God has for me?  Well, what have you got to lose but a few hours of your week?  Check out the book at thehealingcodebook.com by Alexander Lloyd.  And no, I don’t get royalties!:)
HEALTH:
Wait, here’s the best part.  As we begin doing what the book suggests, our health begins to get better.  Many people have been healed of cancer, heart problems, diabetes, depression and on and on.  Lloyd believes that all sickness comes from stress, which imprints on our cells and just continues to add up until our bodies can’t take it any more if we don’t bring healing to the original stress that comes.
What have you got to loose?
See you Friday at Celebration at noon.

Lets get together!

I’ve hardly had time to sit down at my computer since our return from Israel, and I had all these amazing letters I wanted to write to all of you.  Even if I don’t have the amazing trip report, I look forward to gathering and hearing all of your reports from out in the marketplace.  What has been happening?  What do you see God doing?  And what do we need to pray for today?

But, just to pass on where my head has been this week, I’ll leave you with a few thoughts about Israel, the Jews, and why should this matter to us as Christians and as representatives of the marketplace.

Romans 11

Again I ask: Did they(Jews) stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.(S) 12 But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring!

13 I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry 14 in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. 15 For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16 If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root,18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23 And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!

All Israel Will Be Saved

25 I do not want you to be ignorant(AL) of this mystery,(AM) brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited:(AN) Israel has experienced a hardening(AO) in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in,(AP) 26 and in this way[e] all Israel will be saved.(AQ) As it is written:

“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”

28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,(AT) 29 for God’s gifts and his call(AU)are irrevocable.(AV) 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient

to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now[h] receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience(AX) so that he may have mercy on them all.

Whew!  So much to learn, so little time.  I hope this in a small way encourages you along in your journey to know the heart of God and to know his love for Israel and the Jewish people.  I’m always learning and I can’t wait to receive all the revelation God has for me concerning his chosen people…which now includes me cause I’m grafted in!

We did some filming of a farmer and his wife Miriam and Avi Amzalog,  who have invented all kinds of new technology in a few short years for farms and hope to have that video up soon.  One fun part was the wife Miriam’s comment.  ”Why don’t you have a bootcamp in Israel? We need to get help on how to start businesses.”  That sounds like a lot of fun.  But I have a feeling, they would be able to teach us many things

Will Jesus really return?

John and Una have dedicated their lives to preparing people to know of Jesus’ return.  They have planted themselves in the heart of the City of David, and freely give tours of the Temple Mount and help people to understand the importance of this piece of land.  As we walked around the temple claimed by the Muslims we heard about the place that is very possibly where the Holy of Holies was.  And you know it has to be possible the way people are so passionate about this piece of land.  Armed guards are everywhere, making sure we don’t pray, or worship, or even raise our arms to praise Him.  Every time I would get near Una I would begin to tear up.  I was so embarrassed, but I know that she carries the Presence of the Lord and some day I hope I grow up just like her!
We also saw where Abraham was ready to sacrifice his only son.  To be in the place where such bravery occurred, I just can’t even imagine.  How could I give up my beautiful children?  Would I have the heart that Abraham had?  Would I have the trust Abraham had?  Knowing that God is a good God and whatever He tells me is for a good plan and not evil.  The more I am here, the more  I hope to hear His voice and to be one with Him.  John and Una also showed us where Jesus will return.  Where they have sealed the gate, so the Messiah cannot come in, even to the point of putting muslim graves in the way, so a Jewish man would not go near them as is the custom.  Oh!  I have so much to learn and understand, but just being here, stirs my soul in a way that makes me glad I am here, and I’m never turning back.  So grateful for John and Una to be the pioneers and be here to receive us and pray for us.  Thank you Lord for preparing the way for us!
As we walked past a gate, John and Una were thrilled that the gate was open.  The claimed that it was never open, and that it was so fun to see that gate open.  And here is where I lost a little bit in the story, but I think that is where Jesus is to return.  Shelly had a wonderful idea to put a key that was given her from home right next to the gate, to proclaim that the gate would always be open!  Yes Lord!
Una says we’re all pioneers wherever we are.  Just following the Lord in whatever place He has called us.  To do things in a new way, never having been done before as we hear from the Lord.
Gives me a lot to think about today.

Yes, here we are again

We started our day out determined to float in the Dead Sea and ended up with a shabat dinner with friends.  Beautfiful!  Stopping at Masada we were once again reminded of the fierce passion of the people of Israel who made a stand there on top of the mountain that the Romans would not take them as slaves or rape their women and kill their children.  They knew they were going to die, there was no escape.  Many talk of a mass suicide, others speak of how painful the whole process was, of choosing to die instead of being killed.  Pretty sobering.  Never having been in that situation, I cannot know.
As we drove further south we came to the hotels that enjoyed the healing balm of the Dead Sea.  But we were so hot we skipped the float in the Dead Sea and went straight to the Wienicke home and so began an amazing journey.  We were delighted to be able to hear the story of Daphne, Rick’s wife, whose family gave up everything, sold all their belongings and moved to Israel when Daphne was 16.  She was in a place where she began asking God “who am I?”  The next years she began to discover as they went through the many trials people go through in coming to Israel.  She and Rick have lived here almost 30 years and Rick has served in the military as have his two sons.  Rick is Canadian born and Daphne was born in Indiana.  What an amazing life and testimony their story is.  Because of their love and time in Israel, they are able to speak to non believing Jews through their art in a way that no one else can.  Imagine, putting the idea that Jesus was there when the Jews were suffering during the Holocaust?  Unthinkable, but when they see the art, they can’t deny something going on in their heart.  Rick told us there have been some that suddenly had memories of being in concentration camps, or where they were when the war came after looking at the artwork and seeing the video they have done.  Stunning.  I know you will all love them when you come here, or when they come to visit.
Some days I think I really know what it means to sacrifice, to suffer, to give up everything for Jesus.  Then I come to Israel and I see new things that stir me to follow Him in a deeper way.  That there is so much more.  That there is a reason and a purpose for suffering.  That as we give up everything, as we rest in Him, we trust Him more and more.  You know when you meet someone and you think or say “I want what you have!”  I know there is yet another layer.  What if we could all walk in this peace?  What if our businesses operated in this peace?  Would we have people coming to us and saying I want what you have…and it would have nothing to do with our business?  And everything to do with Jesus.
Love from Israel,
Robbie

Wild Angels

7:00 a.m. arise and set off for the Garden Tomb.  We are working off a map, and the street signs could use a little work, or maybe it’s the sign readers, but whatever the case, we went down a few wrong streets and finally ended up at the Garden Tomb.  I squeezed my car into a rented space in a junk yard, trusting the smiling man with a fanny pack, and then headed off to meet the girls.  We are now in Muslim/Catholic territory, so be sure to cover those shoulders girls!

As we walked in and wandered through the cool shaded paths to each area I was instantly in His Presence by the sweet chorus of hymns being sung by a tour.  Something about that just softened me to the point of tears as I realized this could very well be the place where Jesus died on the cross.  With skull mountain near by, the tomb on the other side, what if…we were able to have communion and wondered how close jesus was to the place we were seated saying the very words we spoke from the bible, not being able to see his disciples after this…where he was going they could not come…but when you eat and drink remember my body.  He has healed all our wounds and diseases.  It is finished.  and then to walk into the tomb with “He Has Risen” on the door…more tears.  Jesus is real!  He lives, His word is true.  Thank you Lord for allowing us to be here in Your Presence, remembering you. I don’t think I’ll ever do communion the same again.
From there we decided we were victorious and we were going to find the Mount of Olives.  We happily drove down the street, following a few signs, but were in a traffic jam, ugh.  Then we saw an ambulance, and many soldiers lining the street for a couple blocks, and it looked like they were investigating.  Maybe a traffic accident I decided.  (Forgetting that soldiers probably wouldn’t be called for a traffice accident).  We drove up and down the same 4 blocks, trying to find the Garden of Gethesmane, and couldn’t get there.  On one of our trips, we saw a police van suddenly pull in front of us to stop a cab.  Shelly looked over and saw 6 very buff looking men with a Palestinian flag hanging out!.  Another police van suddenly pulled up behind the cab and Shelly shouted get out of here! and we floored it to the next safe looking parking lot.  As we told ourselves to breathe! slowed our hearts and shakily began to laugh, we wondered, how are we going to get out of here?  I looked over and saw a man getting in his car.  ”Excuse me sir, could you tell us how to get to highway 1?”  He rolled his eyes a bit as if to say “They’ll never be able to find it”  and said “I’m going to 1, follow me.”  Yea!!! God sent an angel.  We drove safely through the same 4 blocks without a sign of any police!  We decided they were down a dark alley torturing the men for information.  Ha ha.  For 20 minutes our angel made his way through traffice, pulling to the side each time he thought we had gotten lost and then pulling out again.  Shelly came up with the song Wild Angels.  I think if you listen to it, you’ll agree, we are definitely needing the wild angels here in Israel.
Each day I become more grateful for God’s protection.  The way He is always there the instant I call out, and the way He brings his peace AND His angels when we need them.  I learning to trust Him more, beyond anything I’ve ever known and feeling so much more peace.
I’m pretty sure God has some on special assingment for us!
